The African Plains model is our best-selling sight. The low profile and generous height adjustment make it ideal for a wider range of hunting situations.
This elegant sight is a custom feature for open-sighted rifle, as hunting dangerous game requires quick sight placement and follow-up shots. This sight is based off of Robert Zimmerman’s design.

Fitment:
- Dovetail is to be Interference/Press fit with no taper as per industry standard, with centerline of dovetail matching boreline’s center.
Specifications:
- Sight height from center line of the dovetail (boreline) to the center line of the peep is .800″ in downward position
- Sight height from center line of the dovetail (boreline) to the top of the peep hood is .990″ in downward position
- Peep stem has an elevation range of .365″
- Stem is left blank for user to file in elevation indentations for ball detents to click into.
- Peep hole diameter is .068″
- An adapter is available to accommodate most bolt-actions
- Sights are sold “in the white”
